Freezing and Thawing – very interesting
If only there were one degree either way that made a difference in real life stories?

Bubbling and Boiling what is the equation – can’t be good for you right? but more real

Well Alan, you did it again.
Gave me something in marketing worth thinking about.

I think it’s important to shift a bit and experience our work from a different angle from time to time. Keep them coming.

I look forward to a chat sometime.

Well for the first podcast I have heard, I found this so hard hitting it has certainly giving me some things to think about.

The goals I started out with for my family seem to be sending me in directions that I did not envisage and I will have a good think about the future paths to take.

    Thanks Alan

    Hi Ninja,

I’m very pleased to read that that the podcast gave you some things to think about.

    Hi Alan,

I just thought I would let you know that in actual fact, the freezing and thawing of water is often far more complex. If there is a salts present the freezing point is depressed so it is lower than 0C. Even if it is carefully demineralised often there is a supercooling effect that means that it will freeze at less than 0C.

Relating this to marketing, or your life, I would say that if you have set yourself both a direction and a goal, don’t just give up straight away if the result you are looking for doesn’t happen when you expect. You never know, to get your result you may have to go just a bit further than you expect.

Another interesting thing to think about is that hot water often freezes faster than cold. This has had people wondering for years why, as it is counter intuative as presumably the hot water has to go through the cold temperature before it freezes. However, it is a well proven fact that it occurs.

You could again relate this to marketing, and life too. If you are looking for a particular result, try starting from a different point. You never know how quick you might get there!

Hee Hee, who said engineers weren’t creative!
